Hakim the Dwarven Rogue5/Wizard1

Name:
Location: Moonshae Islands, Faerun

I am named Hakim, and I practice the art of tactics and subterfuge. I was a scout for the army of my homeland, Citadel Adbar, but after a mission gone wrong i decided to head out on my own. Since then I have traveled all over Faerun, including Claimport in the south, where I picked up the name Hakim and have been using it ever since. I have held a variety of odd jobs to pay for food and such. I have been a bodyguard a few times, a watchman, a spy, a look out, etc. I have never, and never will be a thief. If there is somthing important i need to retrive on a mission, thats different, but I refuse to steal for my own benefit. Well after six or seven years, i found myself on the Moonshae islands when i was wrongfully accused of arson and imprisioned. But, thankfully it was all sorted out and the situation ended up with me joining a band of adventurers.

Hakim Giantsbane

I killed a freaking giant! i dont mean to brag or nuthin, but it was freaking enormus! the sneaking and climbing plan didnt go so well, so i repelled down onto its stomach and shot the bastard right in his face! what a wakeup call that musta been! thanks for thesniper rifle stolig. And thanks Elrose (youre me best friend) for schorching the moldy beast in the back so it didnt mush me into pulp.
i gave the sonofabitch a warning shot too.

O-peration I-raqi L-iberation

I cant disagree with money making, its what most people aspire to do, but if this whole oil thing proves too complicated i vote we just forget its there. I joined this team, my purpose being a scout and i for one dont feel like using my time learning to become a merchant. If it takes little time and effort transporting and selling it then thats fine, but opening up shop (metaphorically or otherwise, no offense elrose) is not exactly what i had in mind. I joined this team, my purpose being a scout and i for one am not interested in becoming some kind of merchant.

just IMO
Hakim

Close Calls All Around . . .

not to sound pessimistic, but i was pretty sure someone was goning to die while facing that barbed demon. My spells helped me out quite a bit during the fight. I'm now pretty good at spellcasting, though im not so powerful. Either way, we're lucky as a halflings or blessed by the gods, i say! but honestly, with out the teamwork and help of Grundelbundel the wizard, more than one of us would need to be raised. And i myself had qiute the close call today. The wanderer was surely watching over me during that one. Those shield guardians were tough opponents, its a godsend we didnt have to fight the others. well, we worked as a team and i'm glad we all made it. now i hope we can sway this gnome from his conquesting agenda.

God

Hakim now has an official diety, the dwarven god Marthammor Duin. He is also known as the Finder of Trails, the Watcher over Wanderers, the Watchful Eye, and the Wanderer.
Marthammor is a relatively new god in the dwarven pantheon, representative of the slow end to traditional dwarven isolation.
He urges his followers to travel the world and learn of the peoples and places that have long been shunned by dwarf society.
His holy symbol is an upright mace in front of a fur-trimmed leather boot.

So, we have defeated the evil Eirenyes (spelling?) and unmasked the demon that was impersonating the neighboring king's brother. Futhermore we have partially unraveled the mysteries of the portals that have opened. In my spare time I have been working towards two personal goals. One, is this amazing "gun" which i dubbed " M1 Garand. " Props to Stolig who certainly knows his way around a toolshed. Ive been practicing with it and found its quite different from the crossbow. Also, the powder is slightly expensive and at the moment, i wont be using it on any reconnisance missions due to the cacophonus roar it emits when fired. But as soon as i am better to use it, it will definately be my weapon of choice. The second goal is something i am suprised i am doing. I have decided to learn how to cast spells in a manner that would complement my tendancy for stealth. Such as, spells of Silence or Darkness, and perhaps a few divination spells to aid my scouting abilites. So until then, we are off to Stolig's hometown, were another portal has opened.
